Why Imperfectleigh?

For a long time, I thought becoming the “right” version of myself meant changing something. Maybe if I looked different. Acted different. Changed this. Fixed that. Toned something down. Tried a little harder. Maybe then I’d finally become the version of me I was supposed to be. It took me until my 30s to figure out something I wish I had known much sooner: I was never supposed to become someone else. The quirky things about me weren’t flaws that needed fixing. The things that made me different weren’t imperfections I needed to hide. They were the pieces that made me, me. And once I figured that out, I stopped chasing someone else’s version of perfect and started loving my own. That’s what Imperfectleigh Crafted means to me.

Yes, you’ll find the bubbly, off centered labels, uneven paint or bumps on the mugs, dips and swirls in the wax, or something that sits just a bit crooked. You’ll also find unexpected scent combinations, reusable mugs instead of another ordinary candle jar, and plenty of other things that might be a little different from what everyone else is doing. That’s intentional. Not because every imperfection was planned—but because embracing them is. I want this little business to be a reminder that different doesn’t mean less than. Quirky doesn’t mean wrong. And beautiful certainly doesn’t have to mean perfect.

Mine made me who I am. And I happen to think she turned out pretty damn great. So around here, I'm not trying to be perfect; I'm doing things a little differently. I'm embracing what makes the company unique.
